The conference "Psychological and legal assistance for war victims: A year of experience following the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation into Ukraine and modern challenges"

Weinvite you to participate in the conference «Psychological and legal assistance for war victims: A year of experience following the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation into Ukraine and modern challenges», which will be held on February 17-18, 2023, online.
Aims of the event: the presentation of successful examples of psychological and legal assistance to war victims in online and offline formats, both in Ukraine and abroad. The discussion of modern challenges faced by specialists in these areas and methods of cooperation.
Participants: psychologists, psychotherapists, representatives of the medical community, lawyers, mediators, representatives of online helplines, social workers, representatives of Ukrainian and foreign non-governmental organizations, state authorities, local governments, donor organizations, clients of helplines and other projects providing psychological and legal assistance, and other interested parties.
Event format: the event will take place online. During the event, there will be speeches from experts, questions and answers, general discussion, and group work to form conclusions and recommendations from the results of the conference. The event will take place over two days. Registered participants will be able to attend one or two days of the conference.
Ukrainian and international experience will be represented.
Language of the event: Ukrainian. Live translations of foreign speakers will be provided.

«The helpline for psychological and legal assistance from the Human Rights Vector NGO» began operating on April 12, 2022 as a reaction to the consequences of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. In the initial stages, it was called “Psychological and Legal Support Available for People with Disabilities in Wartime”, which reflected our main target audience. Later, responding to the requests we received, we expanded the circle of people to whom we provide assistance, because the number of war victims is, unfortunately, increasing every day. This conference is organized by the NGO “Human Rights Vector” within the framework of the project “Psychological and legal assistance to respond to and mitigate the impact of the war in Ukraine”.
