Teaching through practice: the experience of using court broadcasts in teaching law

In April-May 2019 took place the All-Ukrainian Marathon of educational and methodological development of teaching law «Court Broadcasts: Theory through Practice». The marathon was organized by NGO «Human Rights Vector» in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine with support from the USAID New Justice Program.
Here is a compilation of developments (participants) of the marathon. The offered lessons, which are the main part of the publication, are the experience of using court broadcast records in the teaching process by teachers. These classes are not only described in detail, but also tested by the leading Ukrainian higher education institutions, which are preparing the next generation of lawyers.
The compilation also describes the most popular online teaching methods. Almost all the methods were used in the proposed developments. This will give you a better understanding of the methodology of the lessons. In addition, you can replace one or the other method, if necessary, with the one described in this edition.
We would be pleased if you will extend our experience of using online teaching methods and recordings of court broadcasts in the educational process. We will be grateful for the references to this publication and the authors of the development.
Training through Practice: The Experience of Using Court Broadcasting in Teaching Law was prepared within the framework of the project «Court Broadcasting: Theory through Practice» organized by the NGO «Human Rights Vector» within the grant project «Using of Court Broadcasting in Law Education» the support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the New Justice Program.
